Types of Logos Suitable For Your Business

Although logos are a mix of typography and images, each type of logo can give your brand an erly feel. And since logos are the first thing your new customers will look after, of course you want to do it together properly. Here are 7 types of logos you should know about:

1. Monogram logo (or Lettermark)

A Monogram logo or letter marker is a logo consisting of letters, generally the initials of a brand. IBM, CNN, HP, HBO ... See a pattern, huh? They are initializations derived from more than one kondang business along with a rather long name. With 2 or 3 words to keep in mind, they each use their initials for brand identification. So it makes sense for them to use monograms - sometimes called lettermark logos - to represent their organization.

2. Wordmarks (or logotypes)

Similar to letter marks, wordmarks or logotypes are font-based logos that focus on business names only, for example: Visa and Coca-Cola. The Wordmark logo works too well when the company has a compact and unique name. The Google logo is a great example of this.

The name itself is interesting and memorable so that when combined with strong typography, the logo helps create a strong brand recognition.

Just like lettermarks, typography is an important part. Since the focus is on your name, you want to choose a font — or trigger a font — that captures the essence of what your business does. For example, fashion labels tend to use clean, elegant fonts that look luxurious, perfect for legal or government agencies almost forever using traditional ,heavier text that seems safe.

3. Image logo (or symbol logo)

Image marks (sometimes called brand marks or symbol logos) are icons — or graphic-based logos. Some of the images that come out of your mind when you think of the "symbol logo" include: the iconic Apple logo, the Twitter bird, the bullseye target.

Each of the company's logos has symbols that are too identical, and they are too well known, so that when they stand alone they can be recognized immediately. Brand marks that are actually just pictures. Therefore, it can be a complicated type of logo if used by a new company, or an unknown one.

4. Abstract logo

An abstract logo is a type of logo along with an abstract geometric form that represents your business. Some examples of kondang include the BP starburst logo, pepsi divided circle and Adidas strip flowers. Like a symbol logo, abstract logos are especially useful because they turn your brand into one image. However, instead of being limited to images of something recognizable, abstract logos allow you to trigger something too unique to represent your brand.

5. Mascot Logo

The mascot logo is a logo that involves the nature of the image. Often colorful, sometimes cartoonish, and most forever fun, the mascot logo is a great move to spark your own brand's nature.

6. Logo combination

A alloy logo is a logo consisting of a mix of writing/letters and images, abstract logos, or mascots. Images and text can be placed side by side, stacked against each other, or integrated together to trigger images. Some of the brand's logos include Doritos, Burger King and Lacoste.

Since the name is associated along with the image, the alloy logo is a complete choice, along with text and icons or mascots that work together to strengthen your brand. With combination marks, people including you will feel like you're associating your name with your pictorial sign or mascot right away! In the future, you could be able to rely exclusively on logo symbols, and not have to forever include your name. Also, since the combination of symbols and text triggers ercomitant images at the same time, these logos are generally easier for trade brands than image logos only.

7. Emblem

The symbol logo consists of a post inside a symbol or icon; Imagine badges, seals and emblems. These logos tend to be traditional about them that can trigger massive impacts, so they are often the top choice for many schools, organizations or government agencies. The car industry is too fond of the emblem logo. Although they have classic models, more than one company is efficiently modernizing the appearance of traditional symbols along with logo designs suitable for the 21st century (think Starbucks's iconic mermaid symbol, or Harley-Davidson's kondang symbol).
